SCGSCA Represents High School Girls' Soccer on Eastern Long Island in the State of New York.
Our affiliation abides by the rules and regulations provided by New York State Public High School Athletic Association and will play under the "5 classification" format (AAA, AA, A, B, C, D).
There are approximately 56 Girls Varsity Soccer Teams and Thousands of Athletes Middle School Through High School.
They Have Been Broken Down by Section XI into Power Ranked Classification Leagues.
Also, we have had in the past a Developmental League, which included all classes in the same league to provide relief to those teams who needed time to build their program and provide both an educational and an equal level of competition.

The value of athletics in schools is significant and cannot be overlooked. It has a profound impact on individuals, the school as a whole, as well as the community. School-based sports programs have been known to bring out positive behaviors in its student-athletes. Through playing for their school’s team, these young athletes benefit by learning skills, habits, and attitudes that lead to their future success and preparation for life after school and often are not obtained through other athletic leagues, clubs and outlets. Many students and even parents may not even realize the impact that playing school-based sports has on the student-athlete which includes, school and community pride, social benefits, time-management skills, academic benefits, leadership skills, health benefits, and the 3P's, persistence, patience, and practice to name just a few of the overwhelming benefits to playing School Sports.
